Pictorial composition with Nathan Fowkes week 3 assignment.
It was fun doing these studies. I was experimenting a bit with different value grouping and lighting. It is really helpful to block down your composition initially with just 3 values.Hope you like it :)

Basic mountaineering course NIM....
I had amazing experience last year during Basic Mountaineering Course at NIM Uttarkashi. This course was all about basics of rock craft, ice craft and snow craft. That one month in Himalayas was like a month in heaven. I took tons of images during this time so here are very few of them....

Pictorial composition with Nathan Fowkes week1 assignment
I am currently subscribed to the Schoolism (self-taught course). So, here is my first week assignment for Pictorial composition class.Assignment was to Pick 3 of your favourite images and analyze their composition in 3 stages: 1) Create a study of each that uses only 3 values to depict the original scene. 2) Do a full value study of the same images that maintains the strength and intent of the originals while minimizing extraneous detail. 3) Do a full color study of the same images.
First week's lecture was amazing, looking forward to the next lecture. If you are not familiar with Schoolism, check out there website http://www.schoolism.com.
